The Challenge:
Supporting Patient Privacy Without Compromising Cleaning Protocols
Baptist Health South Florida serves communities throughout the region, providing specialized care to patients across a variety of medical settings. Its 15 Cancer Care locations stretch from Key West to Palm Beach County, and in 2024 the program treated nearly 18,000 new cancer cases. Florida Trend ranked it the second-largest cancer program in the state. With that many patients passing through its doors, protecting their personal information is a constant priority.Â
That priority is especially clear at the Doral facility, where patients have access to a multidisciplinary team offering medical and radiation oncology, chemotherapy infusions, laboratory testing, and surgical oncology consultations. Because clinicians use desktop monitors and mobile workstations throughout the day to view sensitive patient information, the team needed a way to protect patient confidentiality.Â
They began evaluating privacy screen protectors, but quickly found that disinfection requirements were a major hurdle. Standard tempered glass, PET plastic, and general-use privacy filters often yellow, crack, chip, or lose their privacy coatings when exposed to bleach. The team needed screen protectors that could withstand medical-grade disinfectants without sacrificing durability.Â
Another challenge was keeping privacy screen protectors securely in place. Previous solutions could be easily removed, leaving monitors without consistent privacy protection and potentially putting them out of compliance with facility requirements.Â
The Solution:
Clean Seal Privacy Screen Protectors
That search led the team to Seal Shield’s Clean Sealâ„¢ Privacy Screen Protectors, a medical-grade option designed for healthcare environments. The protectors use a three-layer structure that combines a built-in privacy filter with impact protection and high tensile strength to resist scratches and cracks.Â
Just as important, the protectors are compatible with hospital-grade disinfectants, so they hold up to regular cleaning. They limit visibility from side angles while keeping the view clear from the front, which reduces the chance that sensitive information is seen by anyone other than the intended user.Â

Installation was another deciding factor. Many privacy screens clip on and are easy to remove, and users often do remove them. Clean Seal protectors use a semi-permanent adhesive that makes them difficult to take off, so monitors stay in compliance at all times. Each one is custom cut to fit its screen and blends in so seamlessly that many users never realize a third-party protector is installed.Â
To extend visual privacy across both desktop and mobile workstations, Baptist Health Cancer Care started with more than two dozen protectors at the Doral facility installed by Seal Shield and TRA team members. The pilot install were installed on Dell monitors at desks and on Enovate workstations on wheels.Â

The Impact:
Stronger Customer Privacy and Cleaner Screens
With Clean Seal Privacy Screen Protectors in place, Baptist Health Cancer Care added a layer of visual privacy to both desk monitors and mobile workstations, helping protect sensitive patient information throughout the workday.Â
Designed for healthcare environments, the protectors are compatible with medical-grade disinfectants, allowing staff to follow routine cleaning protocols while keeping privacy protection in place. Their semi-permanent installation also helps prevent protectors from being easily removed, supporting more consistent coverage across workstations.Â
Following the successful pilot installation, Baptist Health South Florida has continued to order Clean Seal Privacy Screen Protectors, expanding their use across the organization with over 100+ installations to date. This continued investment reflects an ongoing commitment to protecting patient information while supporting the daily needs of healthcare staff.Â
