ADHA 2025 Conference Recap: Supporting Dental Practices with Medical Grade Solutions in Long Beach

Seal Shield exhibited at ADHA 2025, the premier gathering for dental hygienists, educators, and industry innovators. Hosted in beautiful Long Beach, California, the ADHA 2025 Annual Conference brought together thousands of professionals to explore the latest technologies, best practices, and community efforts driving the future of dental hygiene.

Set against a sunny coastal backdrop, ADHA 2025 blended education, networking, and celebration. The atmosphere was alive with learning and connection, making it one of the most memorable events in the dental hygiene calendar.

Volunteering at ADHA 2025: Giving Back to the Long Beach Community

The ADHA 2025 Conference highlighted what truly sets this organization apart: its commitment to service. The ADHA Foundation, in collaboration with Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures, organized volunteer opportunities to deliver essential oral healthcare directly to the Long Beach community. Volunteers could participate in one of three morning shifts, helping to provide care and education to local families.

Equally impactful was the Community Service Beach Clean-Up, sponsored by AMD Medicom. Attendees swapped conference badges for gloves and joined forces to collect litter along the coastline, reinforcing ADHA’s dedication to both community health and environmental stewardship. These service activities reflected the core mission of dental hygiene: promoting well-being in every form.

Networking Highlights from ADHA 2025

Networking at ADHA 2025 was quite the experience. Between morning coffee chats, walks between hotels, and impromptu conversations in exhibit aisles, hygienists found countless ways to share insights and build community.

The First-Time Attendee Orientation & Reception was especially well received, giving newcomers a welcoming environment to meet ADHA Ambassadors and fellow first-timers. Beyond the formal agenda, the evening networking events captured the spirit of Long Beach—complete with local food trucks, tropical cocktails, upbeat DJ performances, and glam photo booths. These casual, beachside moments made connecting easy and fun, helping professionals form relationships that extended well beyond the conference floor.

Continuing Education and Innovation at ADHA 2025

The sessions at ADHA 2025 offered deep insights into evolving technologies, patient care techniques, and safety protocols. In one session, dental hygienists explored Digital Intraoral Scanning—learning how digital imaging enhances patient education, improves diagnostic accuracy, and helps clinicians visualize oral health trends over time. Attendees left the session more confident in integrating scanning into their workflow and discussing results directly with patients.

Another standout program, Contemporary Ultrasonic Instrumentation, allowed participants to refine ultrasonic techniques through lectures and hands-on assessments. This course focused on improving biofilm management and enhancing precision in periodontal care.

Equally important was a session on Infection Control Challenges, which examined everyday hazards in dental practice and shared practical strategies for embedding safety protocols into daily operations. Speakers emphasized that true infection prevention goes beyond compliance—it must be part of a team’s culture.

Another powerful session, Precision, Power, Prevention: Exploring Emerging Technologies in Clinical Care showcased the innovations redefining dental hygiene—from new instrumentation to advanced infection control products. These discussions aligned perfectly with Seal Shield’s own mission: enabling safer, cleaner, and more efficient clinical environments through technology.

How Seal Shield Stood Out at ADHA 2025

Conversations at ADHA 2025 revealed a common frustration among dental hygienists: the use of barrier tape on keyboards and mice. Across dental offices, classrooms, and hygiene programs, covering peripherals with barrier tape or plastic bags has become standard practice. While the intent is infection control, these methods create new challenges, limiting usability and trapping debris. Many attendees struggle with typing accurately through layers of tape or even find difficulties with simple things like scrolling with a mouse. Despite the inconvenience, most professionals felt stuck with these stopgap solutions—until they stopped by the Seal Shield booth.

Seal Shield’s exhibit quickly became a highlight of ADHA 2025, introducing attendees to a better way forward. Many hygienists were amazed to learn that fully washable, waterproof keyboards and mice even existed, especially those engineered specifically for healthcare.

The Seal Silk Pro keyboard was the main highlight. Designed with a sealed silicone body and responsive mechanical keys, it combines infection control efforts with the satisfying tactile feel professionals prefer. Attendees immediately recognized how it could eliminate the hassle of barrier tape, improve workflow, and reduce contamination risks.

For many, it was their first time seeing a product that could be safely cleaned using CaviWipes or other disinfectants without degrading over time. Educators and department chairs expressed strong interest in upgrading their current setups to align with infection prevention standards.

Our washable mice also generated significant buzz. Dental hygienists who previously wrapped mice in plastic or barrier film were delighted to find a durable, easy-to-disinfect alternative. Barrier tape and plastic often restrict the scroll wheel, but Seal Shield’s washable mice eliminate that barrier, allowing for full functionality. Several attendees remarked how much simpler their daily routines could be with washable devices built for real clinical use.

As we shared demonstrations, we also revealed what’s next: a wireless version of the Seal Silk Pro keyboard—coming soon. That announcement drew attention from clinics and educators eager for added flexibility and less clutter on workstations.

Looking Ahead After ADHA 2025

The ADHA conference in Long Beach was a reflection of where the dental hygiene profession is headed. The combination of education, service, and innovation created an inspiring environment for forward-thinking professionals.

Seal Shield was encouraged by the conversations we had. The excitement around washable peripherals—especially the Seal Silk Pro keyboard—proved that technology is evolving without sacrificing usability.
